In 34 years of performing comedy, and 7 years of coaching over 250 people in this process, I’ve seen the freedom and healing it provides. I get it. It took many, many years of surviving before I learned to recognize, accept and dissolve my fear and create from a genuine, honest place, rather than survival. It’s allowed me to access and generate my creativity with relative ease, and substantially deepened my connection to others–not just my audience. And you can have this, too.
And...it’s fine if you don’t. The majority of speakers, performers and general humanity manage to do a good enough job and get through life without really being authentic and realizing a deeper connection to others. And there are myriad sources on line that can teach you to follow a formula for speaking and “get something” from your audience. It’s normal and ordinary and it often works just fine.
Hundreds of people have gone through this process with life-altering results.
