GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT KRISTINA
Kristina brings over a decade in personal development coaching to help others find, cultivate and express their authentic voices. She create Stand Up! The Workshop to connect students with their own inner comic, and walk offstage knowing themselves more deeply. She has the uncanny ability to intuit where students “hide” and challenge them to step into true transformation.
Maybe you’re creating a powerful speech or presentation, and you really want it to land with your audience. You want to be original, authentic, and hugely impactful.

Or you’re a performer who dearly wants to be both funny and real while connecting deeply with people.

You could be a professional comedian, a minister, a CEO, or just a growing human who’d like to dismantle whatever stands between you and your full self expression. You want to know yourself as someone who can communicate clearly, powerfully, compassionately and honestly. And you probably want to do it all with a big ol’ chunk of humor.

Here’s the next step in your personal
and professional development.
1
You’d think it wouldn’t be hard just being ourselves in the world, but we’re tricky, we humans. We all have strategies to get by, avoid the icky feelings, gain acceptance and approval, move us through the scary world with as little rejection as possible, and it’s largely unconscious. We think we’re being authentic, but we’re just comfortable within our strategies, doing what we need to survive.
And when we’re faced with a challenge (like standing in front of people) our need to survive is in overdrive. We lean into whatever has worked historically. Maybe for you it’s appearing smart and credible, or maybe you’re that nice lady who doesn’t offend anyone, or the charming guy who always makes the sale. They’re all strategies for survival, and when we write, speak, perform or express ourselves from this need to survive, we aren’t authentic. And without authenticity, we aren’t connected. Simple.

To connect deeply, we need to be authentic. To be authentic, we need to be vulnerable. And vulnerability is scary. To quote Brene Brown, “Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage.”
However, when we soften our defenses, accept and make a little space for our imperfections, we turn down the noise and hear our own voice. We find what we really want to express. We speak and write from an open heart, creating rapport and trust with our audience.

And, as unfunny as THAT sounds, it’s when we’re authentic, honest and vulnerable, that we’re truly funny. The audience can trust us. Instead of trying to make people laugh, you can share poignant, meaningful content in a funny way, allowing others to laugh with you.
And this is heaven on earth.

In 34 years of performing comedy, and 7 years of coaching over 250 people in this process, I’ve seen the freedom and healing it provides. I get it. It took many, many years of surviving before I learned to recognize, accept and dissolve my fear and create from a genuine, honest place, rather than survival. It’s allowed me to access and generate my creativity with relative ease, and substantially deepened my connection to others–not just my audience. And you can have this, too.

And...it’s fine if you don’t. The majority of speakers, performers and general humanity manage to do a good enough job and get through life without really being authentic and realizing a deeper connection to others. And there are myriad sources on line that can teach you to follow a formula for speaking and “get something” from your audience. It’s normal and ordinary and it often works just fine.

My coaching is not for everyone. I’m compassionate, honest and direct. Emotions are involved. This is deep, effective work and we’ll be talking about your life and your feelings. It requires the willingness to be uncomfortable and to trust the process. It also requires a commitment to honest communication and being open to a different perspective. And, it requires writing. Lots of writing.

Coaching with Kristina is truly a transformational experience.  She has this incredible gift and ability to get right to the core of an issue, and allowed me to remove layers of resistance and distractions to get to the heart of the matter in my speaking, writing, performing and in my life. I am not the same person after working with her – I feel like I up-leveled  myself to a brighter, clearer, far more aligned version.  Katie 2.0. If you are ready to experience tangible shifts in your life and in your work,  I cannot recommend Kristina enough.

Kristina Hall's workshops, writing groups, one-on-one coaching and live performances have transformed me, not just as a performer but as a person. Her mentorship has been instrumental in getting well-paid gigs. Her therapeutic approach has helped me mend the wounds of childhood trauma by being vulnerable with my darkest, most painful struggles on stage. Altogether, Kristina is a professional with a wealth of expertise and a big heart who will take you to the next level both professionally and personally. As a coach in the health and fitness industry, I apply her techniques with my own clients all the time. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what she has taught me.

I've been a long-time coaching client of Kristina's and I can't recommend her highly enough.  Her coaching has helped me work through new content, organize the flow of my sets, and really improve my timing and delivery.  But that doesn't really cover what she really does. She gets to the heart of your message.  She helps you understand the funniest angle to your core message. She gets you more laughs and cuts out the fluff.  Because of Kristina, people think I've been doing standup WAY longer than I have. She's made me a better comedian, and probably a better human.

My favorite thing about working with Kristina is her ability to truly see me and get to the heart of what’s holding me back. Then we address it so I can move the hell on! No wallowing or repeating the same old stories. Instead, I get the permission, freedom, and support to heal. Sometimes we need another person to ask us to live bigger and love ourselves more gently, and that’s what Kristina asks of me. I’m challenged to grow up and into myself. Our work together has given me tools and knowledge I use everyday, and I’m a better writer and a more grown woman for our time together. She is a gifted healer and a great friend.

Kristina’s coaching style feels to me like a combination of really good therapy and an excellent psychic reading, except most of the time you feel as though you’re sitting across from a friend at coffee. She’s incredibly approachable and warm, and familiar with all of the ways humans try to escape from the difficult work. She is both direct and kind, and bats 1000. An hour with Kristina is like three years in therapy.

Kristina listens for my truth, holds me to my commitments, and tells me candidly when I'm off track. She helps me embrace a creative process that is also an emotional one. Connecting with an audience, making it easy for them to love you, looking professional and of course, being funny are all available via Kristina's coaching.
